This is a gorgeous Dyckia hybrid! It has 'Keswick', 'Arizona' and 'Brittle Star' in the parentage. The leaves are very dark purple-mahogany color in the center, frosted with white. The teeth are very thick and frosty. Compact, individual heads get to approx. 5 inches across and it will pup to form a tight colony approx. 12-14 inches across. A truly spectacular hybrid! Bright orange flowers on tall spikes in spring-summer. A fantastic color and texture in the drought tolerant or rock garden. A great one for the Bromeliad collector.
Hardy to approx. 20-25 degrees F. with some cover to prevent leaf burn.
Full sun (in milder climates) to bright, filtered light. Can be grown in the ground, in very well-drained soil. also does great as a potted plant.
Quite drought tolerant in the ground, but will look it's best and grow fastest with occasional water. Will prefer more water, when grown as a potted specimen.
Hardy to approx. 20-25 degrees F.
